️ Principal Planning Officer + Senior Planning Officer Major Applications | West Midlands| 6-Month Contract
\n We’re currently looking for an experienced Principal Planning Officer or a Senior Planning Officer Major Applications to join a planning team in West Midlands on an initial 6-month contract, with an October start.
\n This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take on a major application caseload, while also providing guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the team.
\n The role:
\n Location: West Midlands
\n ⏳ Contract: 6 months
\n Rate: £45–£55 per hour
\n Start: October 2026
\n Attendance: Weekly/fortnightly office attendance
\n Workload: Major planning application caseload
\n We’re looking for someone with:
\n Strong experience at Principal Planning Officer / Senior Planning Officer level
\n Proven experience handling major planning applications
\n Excellent knowledge of the UK planning system and development management
\n Strong communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills
\n The ability to manage a busy caseload and work independently
