About the Role
Basildon Council, in partnership with Vivid Resourcing, is seeking three dedicated and people-focused Client Resident Liaison Officers to support the smooth delivery of major works programmes across our housing services. You'll be the vital communication link between residents, contractors, technical teams and internal colleagues—ensuring that tenants and leaseholders feel informed, supported and heard throughout the lifecycle of each project. This is a rewarding, resident-facing role ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, problem-solving, and helping residents navigate essential improvements to their homes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Resident Engagement & Support
- Act as the primary contact for tenants and leaseholders throughout major works.
- Provide clear, accessible information through newsletters, notices, and direct communication.
- Carry out home visits to understand resident needs, gather feedback, and support individuals with additional requirements.
- Organise and participate in resident consultation meetings and events.
- Develop resident liaison plans for each scheme.
- Work closely with estate management, tenancy teams, and home ownership officers.
- Support decant arrangements, liaising with removal firms, contractors, and statutory authorities.
- Ensure contractors have the necessary property access and information.
