Vivid Resourcing are currently working with one of our Town Council clients who are seeking an experienced Interim Town Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) to provide support during a period of change and increased workload.
Requirements of the Position
- Previous experience working as a Town Clerk, Parish Clerk, Deputy Clerk or Responsible Financial Officer within a Town, Parish or Community Council.
- Strong understanding of local council governance, committee administration and statutory responsibilities.
- Experience preparing agendas, attending council meetings and producing accurate minutes.
- Ability to provide governance advice to elected members and ensure compliance with legislation, standing orders and financial regulations.
- Experience managing budgets, precepts and council finances would be highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as CiLCA would be advantageous but are not essential.
Contract Details
- Initial 3-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.
- Rate: £25-35 per hour DOE.
- Flexible hours available.
- Hybrid working arrangement.
