Are you an experienced Housing, Tenancy or Estate Management professional looking for your next contract opportunity? We are currently supporting a Local Authority in Leicestershire that is seeking a Tenancy Management & Estate Officer to join their Housing team on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with residents, managing their own patch, and delivering a high-quality tenancy management service. The Role Working across a patch of approximately 800 council-owned properties, you will be responsible for managing a range of tenancy and estate management duties while maintaining strong relationships with residents and local stakeholders. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days spent on patch and 2 days working from home. Key Responsibilities * Managing low-level rent arrears and supporting tenancy sustainment * Investigating and resolving low-level anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases * Carrying out tenancy audits, tenancy visits and estate inspections * Undertaking garden inspections and estate management duties * Coordinating repairs and monitoring contractor performance * Conducting fire safety checks and ensuring compliance requirements are met * Working closely with residents to resolve tenancy-related issues * Maintaining accurate records and case management systems About You To be successful in this role, you will have: * Previous experience within a Housing Officer, Assistant Housing Officer, Estate Officer, Tenancy Officer or similar role * Experience managing a housing or tenancy caseload independently * Knowledge of tenancy management and estate management practices * Experience dealing with low-level rent arrears and ASB cases * Strong communication and resident engagement skills * The ability to effectively manage a patch and prioritise workload What's on Offer? * Initial 3-month contract * Strong possibility of extension * Hybrid working arrangement * Competitive day rate, negotiable depending on experience * Opportunity to gain valuable Local Authority experience
