Rate: £19-20 Per Hour

Contract: 6 Months Contract

Working Pattern: On-patch, community-based (daily presence required)

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Supported Housing Officer on behalf of a housing provider delivering frontline support to vulnerable adults in the community. This is a patch-based role, requiring daily visits and face-to-face engagement with residents. The service supports individuals with mental health needs, domestic violence histories, asylum seekers and ex-offenders, so candidates must be confident managing complex cases and risk.

The Role

  • Provide housing-related support to vulnerable residents to help sustain tenancies
  • Manage a caseload of residents with complex needs
  • Carry out regular patch visits, welfare checks and risk assessments
  • Develop and review support plans and complete safeguarding referrals
  • Work closely with external agencies including mental health teams, probation and local authorities
  • Record accurate case notes and maintain compliance with service standards

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in supported housing, floating support or tenancy sustainment
  • Experience working with mental health, domestic abuse, asylum seekers or ex-offenders
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and confident risk management skills
  • Comfortable working independently on patch, five days a week
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
