Location: Salford, UK
Contract: Locum
About the role
Our client, a UK university, is looking for an experienced Contracts Lawyer to join its legal team on a locum basis. The role provides legal support across the institution’s commercial activity, advising on the drafting, negotiation and management of a broad range of contracts.
You will work with colleagues across professional services and academic departments, including procurement, research and partnerships teams. The workload is likely to cover supplier and service agreements, collaboration and research contracts, data sharing arrangements and partnership agreements, alongside variations, renewals and queries on live contracts.
The role suits a lawyer who is comfortable running their own matters and explaining legal points clearly to non-lawyers. Experience of contracting in a university or wider public sector setting will help you settle in quickly.
