I am currently working with a Local Authority in Norfolk seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer (EHO) or Technical Officer to join their Environmental Protection and Community Safety team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced officer with a strong background in environmental enforcement, anti-social behaviour investigations, noise nuisance, and community safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload and supporting the council in delivering an effective front-line Environmental Protection service.
Key Responsibilities * Investigate and manage Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases. * Respond to complaints relating to noise and statutory nuisance. * Undertake environmental crime enforcement, including fly-tipping and waste-related offences. * Carry out inspections, investigations and evidence gathering. * Prepare case files and support enforcement action. * Serve warnings, notices and other statutory enforcement measures where appropriate. * Work closely with Housing, Police, Community Safety teams and external partners. * Provide advice and guidance to residents and businesses on environmental health matters.
