People Advisor (Change Projects) – 6 Month Contract

We're looking for an experienced People Advisor to join our People Team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting the delivery of a significant organisational change programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing expert employee relations advice and supporting managers and colleagues through periods of change.

You'll play a key role in ensuring change is delivered fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation, while helping to create a positive colleague experience.

The Role

Reporting to the People Partner (Change Projects), you'll work closely with the wider People Team to support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, consultations, redeployment and employee relations matters.

You'll help deliver people-focused change that ensures the organisation has the right people in the right roles to achieve its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical Employee Relations advice during organisational change, including restructures, consultations, redundancy and redeployment.
  • Support managers throughout change programmes, offering guidance and coaching on best practice.
  • Prepare consultation documentation, correspondence and meeting arrangements.
  • Support the delivery of change workstreams, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Attend consultation meetings and support communication with colleagues throughout the programme.
  • Monitor people metrics including absence, engagement, turnover and redeployment, identifying trends and potential risks.
  • Work collaboratively across the People Team to ensure a consistent and positive colleague experience.
  • Ensure all activity complies with employment legislation, organisational policy and GDPR requirements.
  • Promote wellbeing, inclusion and employee engagement throughout periods of change.

About You

We're looking for someone who can build trusted relationships and confidently support managers through complex people matters.

You'll ideally have

  • Previous experience as a People Advisor, HR Advisor, Employee Relations Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
  • Strong Employee Relations experience, particularly within organisational change.
  • Experience supporting restructures, consultations, redundancy or redeployment processes.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience is desirable.
