We are currently partnering with a well-established Housing Association to recruit an experienced Housing Officer for a contract role covering the Liverpool area. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and resident-focused housing professional who is confident managing tenancies and delivering high-quality housing services in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patch of tenancies, ensuring effective housing management services are delivered from sign-up through to tenancy termination.
- Handle a range of housing management issues including tenancy breaches, ASB, rent arrears support, and estate management.
- Carry out tenancy visits, inspections, and home checks (remote working with occasional site visits where required).
- Investigate complaints and resolve tenancy-related issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external partners including local authorities and support services.
- Support tenancy sustainment and ensure compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar role within a Housing Association or Local Authority.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, tenancy management, and best practice.
- Experience dealing with tenancy enforcement, ASB, and rent arrears (desirable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and prioritise effectively.
- Flexible and able to work remotely with occasional travel across the Liverpool patch.
- Immediate or short notice availability is highly desirable.
