Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assurance across mechanical building services and engineering systems.
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with statutory, technical and contractual requirements.
  • Manage asset performance, reliability, lifecycle planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review designs, specifications, maintenance strategies and technical documentation.
  • Support NEC contract administration, including performance monitoring, change management and contractor engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, industry standards and best practice.
  • Analyse KPI data and produce reports on operational and contractual performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, facilities teams and service providers to drive service excellence.

Essential Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent).
  • Experience in technical assurance, engineering compliance or asset management environments.
  • Strong background in performance management and contractor oversight.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and contract performance monitoring.
  • Experience within facilities management, estates, infrastructure or property environments.
  • Ability to review technical documentation, engineering reports and maintenance strategies.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of Soft FM services including cleaning, security, waste management or front-of-house operations.
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems and asset management software.
  • Membership of IMechE or equivalent professional body
