Vivid's client in the North West is currently looking for an experienced Housing Triage Officer for a minimum of 6 months with the option to be extended for a further 6 months depending on experience.
Role Position: Housing Triage Officer
Location: North West
Contract: 6 months with possible extension
Start: ASAP
Rate: £20 - £25 per hour
Responsibilities:
- The Housing Triage Officer will assess complex housing applications in line with the Housing Act legislation.
Qualifications / Ideal candidates:
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation relating to homelessness and housing need, with particular knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 part VII and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017.
- Understanding the Allocations Policy.
- Working experience in the assessment of more complex homeless applications for persons who present themselves.
- Demonstrable experience of making recommendations and decisions under the relevant housing legislation.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
