We are working with a respected Housing Association in Nottingham who are looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong tenancy management experience who can hit the ground running and make a positive impact within local communities.
Role Overview
As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a high-quality neighbourhood management service across a defined patch. You will work directly with residents to support tenancy sustainment, manage tenancy-related issues, and help maintain safe, well-managed neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patch of general needs properties
- Carry out tenancy sign-ups, home visits, and tenancy reviews
- Manage low to medium-level ASB cases, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy breaches
- Support residents with tenancy sustainment and early-intervention approaches
- Liaise with contractors, partner agencies, and internal teams
- Conduct estate inspections and ensure communal areas are well maintained
- Prepare reports, case notes, and attend meetings as required
About You
- Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar (minimum 12–18 months)
- Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation, and sector best practice
- Confident working independently and managing a varied caseload
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with vulnerable residents and external agencies
- Available to start on 5th January with no notice restrictions
