A well-established manufacturing organisation with a strong UK footprint is seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner to join its finance team during a period of operational change and transformation. With a strong focus on performance, cost control and operational decision-making, the business is looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can partner closely with senior stakeholders across production and support functions. This is a 6-month assignment, offering a day rate of up to £450, with a hybrid working model based in Manchester.
Your new role
As Interim Finance Business Partner, you will support the senior finance team in delivering high-quality financial insight and control across key operational and manufacturing functions. Working closely with plant leadership and senior management, you will be responsible for:
- Providing senior-level financial commentary and reporting across manufacturing and operational cost centres
- Supporting strategic and operational decisions through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and investment appraisals
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes with a strong focus on manufacturing performance
- Acting as a trusted finance partner to senior operational and leadership teams
- Ensuring robust financial control, transparency, and cost governance across the manufacturing environment
- Collaborating with operations, supply chain, and procurement to align financial planning with production strategy
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent), with proven experience in a manufacturing or operationally focused finance role. A strong understanding of cost drivers, margins, and operational KPIs is essential, alongside the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and challenge performance. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-led environment and able to add value quickly.
