Job Description/Main Body Vivid Resourcing are currently working with one of our Town Council clients who are seeking an experienced Interim Town Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) to provide support during a period of change and increased workload. Requirements of the Position * Previous experience working as a Town Clerk, Parish Clerk, Deputy Clerk or Responsible Financial Officer within a Town, Parish or Community Council. * Strong understanding of local council governance, committee administration and statutory responsibilities. * Experience preparing agendas, attending council meetings and producing accurate minutes. * Ability to provide governance advice to elected members and ensure compliance with legislation, standing orders and financial regulations. * Experience managing budgets, precepts and council finances would be highly desirable. * Relevant qualifications such as CiLCA would be advantageous but are not essential. Contract Details * Initial 3-month contract with a strong possibility of extension. * Rate: £25-35 per hour DOE. * Flexible hours available. * Hybrid working arrangement. * Immediate start available. * Interviews scheduled on a rolling basis.
