We are supporting a housing organisation in the North West seeking an experienced Interim Housing Professional to support a time-limited project following a business decision to exit a housing patch in the northwest. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing tenancy exits and supporting tenants through the process, working closely with local authorities and multi-agency partners to minimise evictions wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tenancy exit activity, including issuing Section 21 notices
- Progress cases to possession order and court where required
- Work proactively with local authorities and partners to prevent homelessness
- Support tenants who are disengaged or hard to reach
- Provide practical support and guidance to Housing Officers when Housing Managers are unavailable
- Undertake occasional two-person visits across Lancashire and Greater Manchester
Requirements
- Proven experience in a housing management or tenancy management role
- Good working knowledge of housing benefits (no specialist expertise required)
- Confident managing possession processes and complex tenancy cases
- Strong stakeholder and multi-agency working skills
Contract Details
- Initial 6-month contract, with likely extension to 9 months
- Largely remote, with site presence around 1-2 days per week
- Travel to Cumbria approximately once every 2β3 weeks
- Mileage paid between sites (from local hub, not home)
