I am currently working with a Kent based Local Authority who are on the lookout for an interim Hard Facilities M&E Supervisor for an initial 3-6 month period. This role is part-time 3 days per week, you will need to be a maximum of 20 miles away. This role is key to ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the corporate estate, supporting essential public services across the borough. This is a hands-on supervisory role, overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio including offices, community buildings, and operational sites. You must have strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and a good understanding of statutory compliance (e.g. H&S, gas, electrical, water hygiene).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the delivery of hard FM services, including M&E, HVAC, and building systems maintenance
- Manage and monitor contractors and service providers, ensuring performance against SLAs and KPIs
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and health & safety standards
- Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
- Oversee reactive maintenance and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and quality checks across the estate
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to support service delivery
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs
- Conduct site inspections, condition surveys, and quality audits
- Support minor works and refurbishment projects across the estate
