Seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our team on a contract basis to support a growing portfolio of clients across Manchester and the surrounding areas.
The Role
You will carry out fire risk assessments across a range of commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, residential, and mixed-use properties, ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and recognised industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fire risk assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant guidance.
- Identify fire hazards and evaluate existing fire safety measures.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive fire risk assessment reports.
- Recommend practical and proportionate actions to reduce fire risks.
- Liaise professionally with clients to explain findings and recommendations.
- Manage your own workload and travel efficiently between sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fire Risk Assessor.
- A recognised fire risk assessment qualification (such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, FPA, IFSM, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance.
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
- Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
