A fast-growing, manufacturing SME is seeking an Interim Head of FP&A to join the business at a pivotal stage of its journey. Operating within a manufacturing environment, the business has built a strong reputation for operational excellence, quality production, and reliable delivery. With a robust platform already in place, the company is now entering a significant phase of expansion, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting scale-up ambitions over the coming years. This is a 6-month contract, offering a rate of up to £650 per day with a highly flexible working pattern designed to support work–life balance.
Your new role
As Interim Head of FP&A, you will report directly to the CFO and take ownership of the financial planning and analysis function. Operating in a hands-on capacity, you will provide timely, high-quality financial insight to support operational decision-making across production, cost control, and capacity planning during a critical growth phase.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and updating cash flow forecasts, including leading weekly cash flow review calls
- Producing flash P&L and revenue reporting to support short-term performance tracking
- Delivering monthly management accounts and comprehensive reporting packs for senior stakeholders and investors
- Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly investor reports, as well as responding to ad hoc data and analysis requests
- Updating business plans and forecasts to reflect commercial performance and strategic priorities
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business and presenting clear, actionable financial insights
What you’ll need to succeed
You will bring proven FP&A leadership experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment. You will be commercially minded, comfortable working at pace and confident operating with a high degree of autonomy.
