I am working with a Client who is looking to bring in an Interim M&E Engineer at £450 per day. The position will involve supporting gas, heating, hot water and water hygiene compliance across the council's housing stock, including:
- Carrying out pre and post inspections, site surveys and quality checks
- Monitoring contractor performance, KPIs and completed works
- Supporting the supervision of two inspectors
- Providing technical guidance and escalating compliance risks where necessary
- Reviewing specifications, technical documents and contractor submissions
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with gas safety, water hygiene, health and safety regulations
The ideal candidate will need:
- ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1 or CKR1)
- Experience within gas and water compliance, ideally in social housing or the public sector
- A strong background in contractor management, inspections and compliance reporting
- Knowledge of Gas Safety Regulations, CDM 2015 and contractor compliance standards
- Gas Safe registration (CSCS would be advantageous)
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
