The Role
You will play a key role in improving housing conditions across the borough, focusing on private sector housing enforcement and standards. Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out property inspections under the Housing Act
- Investigating complaints relating to housing conditions
- Identifying hazards using the HHSRS framework
- Taking appropriate enforcement action where required
- Working with landlords, tenants, and external partners to drive improvements
- Supporting wider public health and housing initiatives
What Weβre Looking For
- Qualified Environmental Health Officer (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Experience in Private Sector Housing / Housing Enforcement
