We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2A+ Building Control Surveyor for an interim opportunity based in the South East. This is an initial 6-month contract, with a strong view to extension due to ongoing workload.

The Role

This is a hybrid role offering a balanced mix of site and home-based work:

  • 3-5 days per week carrying out site inspections and plan checks
  • Opportunity to move to full-time working depending on service needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out site inspections across a range of building types
  • Assessing compliance with Building Regulations
  • Plan checking and providing technical advice
  • Liaising with applicants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring works meet statutory and safety standards

Requirements

  • Must be Class 2A+ registered with the BSR
  • Proven experience within Building Control
  • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation
  • Ability to work autonomously in an interim capacity
  • Full UK driving licence (due to site visits)
