Hours: Part-Time, 18.5 hours per week. Expected on-site presence: 2 days per week.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Caseworker to join our Temporary Accommodation service in Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people to achieve stable housing and improved independence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload of residents within temporary accommodation.
- Conduct needs and risk assessments and develop tailored support plans.
- Support residents with housing, benefits, budgeting, and tenancy-related issues.
- Liaise with local authorities, housing providers, health professionals, and support agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure appropriate action is taken where concerns arise.
- Support residents to develop independent living skills and achieve positive outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years\' experience working within housing, homelessness, temporary accommodation, supported housing, or a similar support setting.
- Experience managing complex cases and supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good knowledge of housing and homelessness services.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Competent IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
