Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor to support a busy housing provider in managing property condition issues and ensuring residents live in safe, healthy homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out inspections of residential properties to assess damp, mould, condensation, and disrepair issues.
  • Diagnosing building defects and identifying root causes.
  • Preparing detailed survey reports, specifications, and remedial work recommendations.
  • Managing disrepair cases and supporting legal claims where required.
  • Liaising with residents, contractors, and internal teams to ensure works are delivered effectively.
  • Monitoring completed works to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
  • Providing technical advice and ensuring properties meet relevant housing and health standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience surveying damp, mould, and disrepair cases within social housing.
  • Strong knowledge of building pathology, repairs, and property maintenance.
  • Experience producing technical reports and specifications of works.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (where required).
  • Relevant surveying qualification (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent) desirable
