We’re working with a public sector organisation (local authority / housing / estates portfolio) looking to appoint an experienced M&E Engineer to support the management of building services across their estate. This is a hands-on role focused on maintenance, compliance, and contractor management, rather than design.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across M&E assets
- Oversee external contractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to standard
- Support statutory compliance (electrical, mechanical, H&S)
- Assist with condition surveys and asset management planning
- Deliver and support minor works / capital projects
- Act as a key point of contact for estates, FM teams, and internal stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a building services / estates environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Experience managing contractors and service providers
- Understanding of compliance and statutory regulations
- Background in public sector estates, housing, NHS, or FM is highly desirable
