We are currently supporting a Bristol-based manufacturing business following a successful M&A transaction. As part of the wider group integration, the existing Group Financial Controller is moving into a Group Finance Director position, creating an immediate requirement for a strong interim Group Financial Controller on a 6-month contract. This is a key leadership role within a stable, well-established manufacturing environment undergoing post-acquisition change and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead group financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated accounts
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes across the group
  • Maintain robust financial controls, governance, and reporting standards
  • Support post-M&A integration activities and group structuring
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles
  • Provide insightful analysis to support senior leadership decision-making
  • Manage and develop the finance team
  • Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a Group Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
  • Strong manufacturing or complex operational sector experience essential
  • Experience in post-M&A or group integration environments highly desirable
  • Strong technical accounting and consolidation experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
