We are currently working with a Local Authority in the South who are seeking experienced Building Surveyors for a variety of exciting opportunities. These roles offer exposure to diverse projects within local authorities, housing associations, and private sector portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting property inspections and condition surveys
- Producing detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of work
- Managing refurbishment, maintenance, and capital works projects
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and health & safety standards
- Providing professional advice on building defects, repairs, and improvements
- Liaising with contractors, clients, and key stakeholders
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Building Surveyor role
- Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and defects
- Experience delivering projects across residential and/or commercial portfolios
- Familiarity with contract administration and project management
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- MRICS (or working towards) desirable but not essential
