An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist to join a leading eye surgery clinic in Galway and/or Limerick. This role offers full refractive training, with immediate and flexible start dates available.
You will be part of a forward-thinking and supportive environment, working with state-of-the-art technology alongside experienced Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. This is a chance to expand your clinical expertise while helping patients access life-changing refractive treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including lifestyle assessments, binocular vision, anterior and retinal health checks.
- Utilise advanced diagnostic equipment such as OCT, Oculus Pentacam, iDesign, slit lamp microscope, Humphreys visual fields, and IOL master.
- Instil eye drops where necessary and assist patients with insertion and removal of contact lenses.
- Identify suitable patients for refractive surgery, clearly communicating procedures and risks.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update internal systems to track outcomes.
- Actively engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Follow health and safety protocols in line with company standards.
What We\\\βre Looking For
- A qualified Optometrist with experience in a busy clinical setting.
- Registered with CORU (Republic of Ireland).
- Strong communication skills, a friendly manner, and the ability to adapt to different patient needs.
