Field-Based Role

Full-Time

Competitive Package (DOE)

We're working with a growing domiciliary optical provider who are looking for an experienced DOMI Manager to take full ownership of their field-based service. This is a key leadership role for someone who understands domiciliary optics inside out - ideally a trained OA with strong field experience - and is now ready to step up and run the service operationally, clinically, and logistically on a day-to-day basis. This isn't just a dispensing role. This is full-service ownership.

The Role - Full Operational Ownership

  • Diary & Logistics Management

You will be responsible for planning and controlling your own diary to ensure maximum efficiency and service coverage, including:

  • Planning daily visits and managing your own schedule
  • Grouping locations to optimise travel routes and time
  • Factoring in travel time and clinic flow
  • Ensuring diaries are fully utilised and clinically efficient
  • Taking ownership of day-to-day field logistics

This is a highly organised, structured role where efficiency directly impacts service success.

Care Home & Relationship Management

A major part of the role is building and maintaining strong relationships within the care sector. You will:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with care home managers and staff
  • Act as the key point of contact for allocated homes
  • Ensure the service remains the preferred provider
  • Maintain regular communication and professional credibility
  • Strengthen long-term partnerships across your patch

This is a relationship-led role where trust and consistency are essential.

End-to-End Service Ownership

You will effectively run the operational side of the domiciliary service, including:

  • Managing bed lists and patient coordination
  • NHS administration and compliance (PCSE / PVN processes)
  • Coordinating equipment and clinical logistics
  • Overseeing delivery and service flow
  • Supporting payment chasing and basic financial admin
  • Ensuring smooth coordination between clinical and admin teams

What Makes This Role Different

This is a fully autonomous, leadership-level field role where you are trusted to run the service - not just deliver it. You will be responsible for:

  • Operational efficiency
  • Relationship management
  • Service delivery standards
  • Day-to-day decision making in the field

It is effectively running a core part of the business independently.

What We're Looking For

  • Experienced Optical Assistant (OA) within domiciliary optics (preferable)
  • Strong understanding of domiciliary workflows and care home environments
  • Confident managing diaries, logistics, and field operations
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Experience stepping into leadership or supervisory responsibilities

Why Apply?

This is ideal for someone who:

  • Knows domiciliary optics inside out
  • Wants full autonomy in their role
  • Enjoys running their own diary and working independently
  • Is ready to step into a senior operational position
  • Wants to be trusted with real responsibility
