The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are recruiting for a Fire Safety Project Lead in Hampshire! Based out of either our Portsmouth or Basingstoke office, we offer the flexibility to work from home and our offices. This is a 6-month fixed term contract role working 37 hours a week with a minimum of 20% of this to be office-based to promote collaboration and team working.

The role:

We are looking for a Fire Safety Project Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering specialist fire safety projects across our homes and buildings. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact — ensuring our residents are safe and our buildings meet the highest standards. As the Fire Safety Projects Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of specialist fire safety projects as per the requirements under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, The Fire Safety Act 2021 and The Building Safety Bill 2022.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects including site surveys, assisting in the preparation of specifications and tenders, communicating with relevant stakeholders, monitoring project timescales and budgets, and administration through to completion of works. Working closely with internal teams, contractors and customers, you will provide clear communication, strong leadership and robust oversight throughout each project's lifecycle. You will ensure works are planned and executed accurately and thoroughly whilst also ensuring that all our customers are communicated with and kept in the loop effectively and in a timely manner by championing a performance driven culture.

As this role involves travel, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is a requirement. Business mileage will be paid.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will bring strong project and programme management experience ideally supported by relevant qualifications and experience managing contractors. You will have an understanding of the social housing environment including regulation and emerging government policy and ideally some experience in a housing or construction/surveying. You will hold strong working knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Procedures. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the confidence to exercise sound judgement.

Requirements:

Interviews are due to take place WC 16 Feb (subject to change). As this role involves travel, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is a requirement. Business mileage will be paid.
