We are looking for a Decants Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the decant process for customers who need to temporarily move due to major repairs or safety concerns. This is a full-time permanent role, working 37 hours per week, based out of our Portsmouth office. This role requires travel across various locations throughout Hampshire.

As Decants Manager, you will be leading and managing all aspects of the decant process for customers affected by repairs that require a temporary move. Customers will need to be supported throughout the process, ensuring decants are in line with timescales, compliance, legislation, policy and best practice.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the decant service, ensuring customers are supported throughout their journey.
  • Develop and implement decant strategies that meet the requirements of VIVID standards.
  • Coordinate schedules to guarantee timely, compliant, and cost-effective moves.
  • Implement strategies and processes that meet VIVID standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive for continued efficiency of our decant repairs & maintenance service.
  • Collaborate across teams and act as an ambassador for customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Use data and insight to improve service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Manage external contractors, budgets, and performance targets.

As this role involves travel, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is a requirement. Business mileage will be paid.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing decant or large-scale relocation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of housing law, decant policies and compensation frameworks.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within building maintenance or a similar environment, ideally within the social housing sector.
  • Experience in property services, compliance, or housing operations.
  • Strong supply chain and contract management skills, with the ability to manage complex contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Ability to manage risk, drive efficiency, and deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
