We are looking for skilled Multi‑Trade Operatives to join our dedicated Repairs Team in South Hampshire, based out of our Portsmouth office and working across South Hampshire and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform multi‑trade and general maintenance tasks across social housing properties, including plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting and UPVC repairs and installations.
- Provide professional service to occupied homes, upholding safety and safeguarding policies.
- Work at heights, perform manual handling, lift heavy and bulky items, and maintain a high degree of mobility (walking, lifting, loading and unloading vehicles).
- Operate a company van when necessary, using a full, clean current driving licence held for at least one year.
- Participate in the emergency on‑call rota as required.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in a trade discipline (experience will also be considered).
- Proven experience in a multi‑trade or general maintenance role.
- Competent in at least two core trades (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting).
- Demonstrable experience in UPVC repairs and installation.
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism when working in occupied homes.
- Full, clean current driving licence held for at least one year.
- Successful DBS check.
Conditions of Employment
Full‑time, permanent role, 39 hours per week. Shift options include 8:00–4:30am or 10:00–6:30pm, with additional information provided at interview. The role includes participation in an emergency on‑call rota.
Remuneration and Benefits
Salary up to £39,500 plus up to £1,800 bonus and use of company van.
