Job Description:
We’re VIVID! – We offer a vibrant, friendly, inclusive culture that supports, develops and attracts the best people!
We’re looking for Activity Volunteers (age 18+) to join our teams working with older people across Hampshire. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like and are able to commit to.
As a volunteer, you’ll benefit from:
- Enhanced DBS Certificate – subject to status
- VIVID training and development in your role
- Support from the Independent Living and Customer Engagement teams throughout your volunteering journey
- Expenses for travel
As an Activities Volunteer, you’ll work with our Independent Living team to support in preparing and delivering activities to our customers living in extra care and sheltered housing schemes, ensuring that customers’ wants and needs are at the heart of what we do.
You’ll help bring joy, connection, and creativity into people’s lives through a wide range of activities, such as:
- Crafts and creative sessions – from card-making to seasonal decorations
- Board games and puzzles – sparking fun and friendly competition
- Reminiscence sessions – sharing stories and memories over tea and biscuits
- Bingo and quizzes – always a favourite!
- Singing and music appreciation – whether it’s a singalong or just enjoying the classics
- Tea, coffee and chat – sometimes the best activity is simply good conversation
Previous experience of working with vulnerable people is desirable, as well as a good understanding of the needs of older people in general, but we\’ll provide all of the training you need. If you’re applying to volunteer somewhere further away from home, you will need your own form of transport, but travel expenses will be provided.
Come and be part of something meaningful – help us make every day a little brighter for our customers!
