We're seeking dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our customer-focused team!
In this role, you'll be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of communal outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Routine grounds maintenance tasks, such as grass/hedge cutting, trimming, and weeding
- Hard area maintenance and low-level tree work as well as soft landscaping
- Shrub maintenance
- Ensuring communal areas are free from litter and debris
- Perform regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards
- Assist with seasonal tasks, such as leaf removal
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment and tools
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with residents and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good knowledge and experience in this field with skills to operate a variety of equipment, machines and materials
- Capability to work at heights
- Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
- High degree of mobility, including walking, lifting, loading and unloading vehicles
- Full, clean current UK driving licence held for at least 1 year (to drive a van when needed)
- DBS check required

We have 3 full‑time, 6‑month fixed‑term contract opportunities available covering either Basingstoke, Eastleigh or Aldershot.
Depending on your allocated patch, you will be contractually based from one of our local offices and will travel within the surrounding areas.
These roles are 39 hours per week, offering the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team while making a visible difference in our communities.
