We’re recruiting for 2 Resource Planners to join our team in Basingstoke. This is a full‑time position working 37 hours per week on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role requires working in the office 4 days a week with the planning team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for customers, contractors and trades staff primarily by phone.
  • Schedule and manage appointments for repairs and maintenance using the appointment scheduling system and mobile solutions.
  • Ensure appointments are attended, completed within set timescales, and reschedule jobs when necessary while keeping customers informed.
  • Provide information to managers to monitor compliance with corporate and legislative timelines and standards.
  • Maintain diaries to maximise resource utilisation and coordinate with other planning teams to deploy trades staff across areas.
  • Use computer programmes confidently and quickly learn new systems; raise, close and amend jobs on the bespoke system.
  • Assist trades staff with troubleshooting hand‑held device problems.
  • Multi‑task and prioritise workload in a fast‑paced, busy environment while remaining calm and professional.
  • Communicate politely yet assertively on the telephone and deal with challenging customers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a planning or scheduling role.
  • Experience in a busy, customer‑focused role.
  • Knowledge or experience in the social housing sector.
  • Strong communication skills and a polite, assertive telephone manner.
  • Ability to maintain calmness under pressure and remain professional when liaising with customers.
