Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a busy inpatient therapy unit in Southampton. This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient centred care across an acute or rehab setting. You will play a key role in facilitating safe and timely discharges, completing functional assessments, and supporting patients to regain independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of patients within an inpatient setting
  • Completing functional and cognitive assessments
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans
  • Discharge planning, including home assessments where required
  • Equipment provision and recommendations
  • Working closely with MDT colleagues including Physios, Nurses, and Social Workers
  • Accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Previous inpatient / acute / rehab experience
  • Strong discharge planning skills
  • Confident working independently and within an MDT
  • NHS experience preferred
