Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a busy inpatient therapy unit in Southampton. This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient centred care across an acute or rehab setting. You will play a key role in facilitating safe and timely discharges, completing functional assessments, and supporting patients to regain independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of patients within an inpatient setting
- Completing functional and cognitive assessments
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Discharge planning, including home assessments where required
- Equipment provision and recommendations
- Working closely with MDT colleagues including Physios, Nurses, and Social Workers
- Accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Previous inpatient / acute / rehab experience
- Strong discharge planning skills
- Confident working independently and within an MDT
- NHS experience preferred
