Vivid Healthcare are looking for an experienced Band 8b Infection Control Lead in Blackpool.
Position Details:
- The post-holder has a key strategic and operational role in supporting the patient safety, governance and quality agenda.
- The post holder is responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and on-going compliance monitoring of clinical standards of care related directly to the Health and Social Care Act 2008: code of practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance.
- This includes leading policy making, driving audit programmes and sharing findings to further improve practices.
- Reporting progress both internally and externally is a key function of the role.
- The Head Infection Prevention Nurse line manages the Trust’s Infection Prevention Nursing Team to ensure the delivery of an optimum level of service to the Trust.
- This includes the preparation of an annual programme and work plan.
- The Head Nurse plays a major role in the achievement of the Trust’s objectives through delivering of short and long-term goals.
- The Head Nurse sets high standards, leads by example and acts in an advisory capacity for other senior leaders across the organisation.
