We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 5 Cardiology Nurse to join a busy and dynamic Cardiology Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiac care to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient-centred care to individuals with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. The successful candidate will support the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients across cardiology wards, cardiac investigations, and specialist cardiac services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to cardiology patients.
  • Monitor and assess patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients.
  • Perform and interpret basic cardiac monitoring, including ECG recordings.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with Trust policies and NMC guidelines.
  • Assist with cardiac investigations and procedures where required.
  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, treatments, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and safeguarding measures are adhered to.
