Vivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Nurse to join a Rheumatology service on a temporary agency basis.
We are looking for a confident and experienced RGN with recent Rheumatology experience who can provide high-quality patient care and work effectively within a specialist multidisciplinary team.
The Role
You will be supporting patients with a range of rheumatological and long-term conditions, providing clinical assessment, monitoring and ongoing patient support.
Duties may include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care to Rheumatology patients
- Supporting nurse-led clinics and patient follow-ups
- Monitoring patients receiving specialist treatments
- Reviewing observations, blood results and clinical information
- Supporting patients with chronic and complex conditions
- Providing education and advice around treatment and medication
- Recognising and escalating changes in a patient's condition
- Working closely with Rheumatologists and the wider MDT
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Working autonomously while maintaining excellent patient safety standards
Requirements
- NMC Registered Nurse (RGN)
- Recent and relevant Rheumatology experience is essential
- Previous Senior Nurse / Band 6 or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience caring for patients with long-term or complex conditions
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an MDT
- Strong understanding of patient safety and clinical governance
- Up-to-date mandatory training and compliance
- Right to work in the UK
