Senior Nurse to join a Rheumatology service on a temporary agency basis.

We are looking for a confident and experienced

RGN with recent Rheumatology experience who can provide high-quality patient care and work effectively within a specialist multidisciplinary team.

The Role

You will be supporting patients with a range of rheumatological and long-term conditions, providing clinical assessment, monitoring and ongoing patient support.

Duties may include

  • Providing high-quality nursing care to Rheumatology patients
  • Supporting nurse-led clinics and patient follow-ups
  • Monitoring patients receiving specialist treatments
  • Reviewing observations, blood results and clinical information
  • Supporting patients with chronic and complex conditions
  • Providing education and advice around treatment and medication
  • Recognising and escalating changes in a patient's condition
  • Working closely with Rheumatologists and the wider MDT
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Working autonomously while maintaining excellent patient safety standards

Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse (RGN)
  • Recent and relevant
  • Rheumatology experience is essential
  • Previous Senior Nurse / Band 6 or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience caring for patients with long-term or complex conditions
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an MDT
  • Strong understanding of patient safety and clinical governance
  • Up-to-date mandatory training and compliance
  • Right to work in the UK
