The Role
Vivid Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join an NHS Operating Department team on a temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ODP with a strong background in elective orthopaedics, looking for a new assignment from September 2026.
You will work as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, providing high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative pathway and supporting the safe and effective delivery of surgical procedures.
Key Requirements
- Current HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner
- Recent experience working within elective orthopaedics
- Strong perioperative clinical skills and knowledge
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work safely and confidently in a busy operating department
- Anaesthetic experience is desirable
