We are currently recruiting experienced Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) to join a busy clinical service. This is an excellent opportunity for an autonomous practitioner who is confident assessing, diagnosing and managing patients presenting with minor illness and minor injuries.
The Role
As a Band 7 ANP, you will work autonomously within your scope of practice, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients.
You will need to demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills and be confident working independently within a fast-paced environment.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with the NMC and extensive relevant clinical experience
- Top to Toe Health Assessment Needs Module
- Minor Illness and Major Injuries Module
- Ability to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with minor injuries
- Competent in referring patients for X-ray and interpreting X-ray results
- Suturing and suture/staple removal
- IR(ME)R / Red Dot Training
- General wound care
- Administration of medication via IM and SC injection
- Sepsis Training
- NHS Smartcard holder
- Experience using SystmOne or Rio patient record systems
Desirable Skills
- Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) – with an expectation of working under PGDs
- Phlebotomy / Venepuncture
- Plastering

We are looking for an experienced ANP who is confident working autonomously and can demonstrate excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills.
You will have a strong understanding of patient safety, safeguarding and clinical governance, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while managing your own clinical caseload.
