Technical Project Manager

Vivid Collective is seeking a
highly skilled, senior-level Technical Project Manager
to take ownership of the technical delivery and project management of our events. This role goes far beyond standard AV work — we are looking for someone who can confidently manage the full technical process from planning through execution, while also supporting the commercial growth of the business.

You will lead technical operations across
corporate AV, premium private events, weddings (AV-only), LED walls, sound systems and lighting
, acting as a key decision-maker on-site and a trusted representative of the company. The ideal candidate is commercially aware, client-facing, and capable of elevating both the technical standard and the client experience of every event we deliver.

This is a senior, high-responsibility role suited to someone who wants to grow with an expanding company and is capable of thinking like a technical leader — not just an operator.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Take full ownership of technical delivery for assigned events
• Lead the setup, configuration, operation, and de-rig of AV systems
• Oversee
  audio
  ,
  lighting
  ,
  LED wall
  , and
  general AV
  integration
• Troubleshoot confidently and make technical decisions independently
• Maintain a high standard of presentation, safety, and workflow

Project Management

• Plan technical requirements, equipment lists, and installation steps
• Attend site visits, client meetings, and pre-production briefings
• Coordinate timelines, resources, and on-site execution
• Lead and manage small teams or freelancers
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and to specification

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the on-site technical lead and point of contact
• Build strong relationships with clients, venues, planners, and suppliers
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally
• Support the director during pitches, walkthroughs, and proposals

Business Growth Support

• Identify upsell opportunities and technical enhancements
• Provide insight into new capabilities, services, and equipment investments
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
• Help strengthen Vivid Collective's reputation as a premium technical supplier

Operational Support

• Maintain inventory standards and ensure equipment readiness
• Support equipment testing, repairs, and quality control
• Contribute to building scalable technical processes
• Provide feedback on system design, workflow, and team requirements

Required Experience & Skills

• Senior-level experience across audio, lighting, and AV operation
• Strong corporate AV competence (wireless mics, presentations, video playback)
• Confidence with LED wall setup and troubleshooting (or quick learner)
• Proven experience leading technical teams or running events independently
• Ability to interpret client requirements and convert them into technical plans
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
• Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and commercially aware
• Excellent communicator, comfortable speaking with clients
• Driving licence preferred but not essential
