Overview
We\\\’re looking for a well-rounded UX Designer to join our Technology team. Reporting to our Delivery Manager, you\\\’ll be working with our Product Managers to understand customer needs and through observation, research, iterative prototyping, and how we can achieve our business goals.
You\\\’ll get to explore real-world customer problems and help our Technology team implement creative, innovative solutions across web and desktop software projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Development Manager and Product Owners to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Conducting user research and evaluating user feedback to understand user needs.
- Tracking and analysing user activity, journeys and data patterns alongside our Data Analyst to help make informed suggestions.
- Designing and delivering wireframes, shaping user stories, user journeys, and low-fidelity mock-ups, high-fidelity designs.
- Prototyping design concepts in Figma and iteratively validating them with users to refine and improve the solutions.
- Working with Developers and Testers to ensure designs and flows are implemented as intended.
- Identifying quick wins as well as ideating and defining long-term solutions that align with the company\\\’s business goals.
- Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas and integrate them into the product.
Qualifications
- Onsite work requirement: ability to work onsite 3 days per week at our Sheffield office.
- Proven UX design experience with a strong portfolio including web application UX.
- Proficiency in visual design and wireframing tools such as Figma or similar.
- Experience in conducting user research and observation or usability testing, turning the output into data that can drive product design decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative yet pragmatic approach.
- Able to outline UI guidelines, themes and build UI toolkits for desktop and responsive/mobile.
- Experience carrying out user interviews and identifying user pain-points.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with development teams to get designs into production and reviewing user uptake.
- Experience with customer analytics and data-driven design.
- Proficiency in accessibility and inclusive design principles, with experience designing for diverse user groups and complying with WCAG guidelines.
- Experience with A/B testing and Google Optimize.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Crazy Egg, MouseFlow, Hotjar or similar.
- Full UK driving license.
