We have a head office in Sheffield and a satellite office in London, but our customers are spread across the UK.

Our friendly team of 170 are our most important customers. We care about having a positive, friendly, and engaging workplace, as that is the key to delivering great customer service. People love working here, and we have the independent survey results to prove it - we’re officially one of the ‘Best Companies’ in the UK to work for!
About the role
We are looking for a talented and proactive Marketing Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is responsible for all marketing activity across two brands - Obitus and Vivedia - working across a complex, multi-layered customer landscape.
You’ll be delivering strategic direction and hands-on marketing execution via our in-house creative resources and with support from our external agency. This is a role for a well-rounded marketer who can confidently drive multi-channel, multi-brand campaigns across both digital and traditional media.
Key Responsibilities
- Continue and evolve the marketing strategy and plan across multiple channels, customer groups, and two brands, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
- Execute and oversee campaigns through both in-house creative teams and external agencies, ensuring high-quality, consistent output.
- Drive both acquisition and in-life customer engagement to positively influence revenue, customer usage, and satisfaction (NPS).
- Be the voice of the customer across the organisation and champion the positioning and messaging for Obitus and Vivedia in their respective markets.
- Develop and execute regular communications: build emails, write copy, brief designers, test campaigns, upload and manage data, post on social media, contribute to blog content, and liaise with trade media.
- Lead and deliver events, with a particular focus on the National Funeral Exhibition in June 2026: plan and organise the stand, manage suppliers and logistics, coordinate internal teams, collate leads, and manage speaker content.
- Support sales campaigns for both brands, generating and nurturing leads through integrated campaigns across digital, print, social, and other traditional channels.
- Coach and develop team members, including supporting the ongoing learning and development of our team members who are on apprenticeships, through on-the-job training, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure all marketing output reflects a deep understanding of customer needs, tailoring messaging and creative execution to resonate with different audiences.
About You
- Experience delivering multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns across both digital and print media—ideally in a B2B2C or similarly complex environment.
- Confident managing external agencies and working with internal creative teams.
- A hands-on, proactive team player who is also a strategic thinker.
- Commercially astute with the ability to link marketing activity to business impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting ability.
- Able to manage multiple projects at pace, juggling priorities across a varied role.
- Previous experience organising and delivering events and exhibitions is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation and audience insight, with the ability to craft marketing that truly resonates.
We offer a range of benefits including:
- Competitive Salary
- Hybrid/Remote Work Options
- Flexible Working Hours
- Career Growth Opportunities
- Learning & Development
- Generous Paid Time Off
- Parental Leave
- Tech & Equipment Provided
- Free Tea, Coffee & Fruit
