We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join us.
Salary: £45,000-£60,000 + commission (OTE up to £110,000).
Reporting to: Shane Foley, our Head of UK Sales.
Location: 2-3 days office based at Old Street, with flexible working and WfH.

About the role: Joining as a Business Development Manager, you will become the face of VivaCity within authorities across Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and the champion of your customers internally. Using a balance of consultative and challenger selling capabilities, you will build relationships with contacts who trust your expertise and believe in our product.
About you: We are looking for a dynamic, customer-centric, and personable individual to join our ambitious, friendly team. You’ll have experience in a closing sales role.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with contacts based mainly in transport and highways teams in local government, supporting them with gathering game-changing data.
- Running the Sales deal process end-to-end, including lead generation, running discovery meetings, pulling together proposals, navigating procurement processes, and getting to project kick-off.
- Working closely with the Revenue Operations function to generate new opportunities.
- Following our sales playbooks to ask the right questions at the right times, supporting your customers with relevant information.
- Presenting VivaCity’s offering in an engaging and educational manner.
- Attention to detail when scoping projects and putting together proposals.
- Forecasting opportunities realistically, in order to support Delivery.
- Sharing information about new customers and opportunities with Product.
- Keeping a close eye on your sales metrics.
- Being a member of a tight-knit sales team, participating and running skills and knowledge workshops to help yourself and colleagues be the best they can be.
