About the role
The Telesales Team Leader will lead, motivate, and manage a team of telesales representatives to drive new business acquisition and revenue growth for viva.com’s in‑person payment solutions. The focus is on the UK SMB market, particularly within retail, hospitality, and other fast‑moving sectors. The Telesales Team Leader is responsible for driving performance through effective coaching, training, and data‑driven decision‑making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the telesales team to achieve/exceed both individual and team KPI’s and sales revenue targets;
- Develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to drive performance;
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs (e.g., call volume, conversion rate, revenue);
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members through regular one‑to‑one sessions and performance reviews;
- Conduct training sessions to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement skills;
- Use CRM systems to track performance, manage pipelines, and generate sales reports;
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment on lead generation and campaign execution;
- Handle escalated customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally;
- Identify underperformance and implement corrective action plans;
- Recruit, onboard, and develop telesales staff to maintain a high‑performing team culture;
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on performance trends and improvement opportunities.

- Familiarity with CRM and dialler systems (MS Dynamics, Genesys PureCloud or Similar).
