We're looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a leading AI company in Belfast, to help design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions. You'll work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and scientific/technical stakeholders — productionising advanced analytics across large, complex, multimodal datasets. Reporting to a senior technical leader, you'll play a key role in advancing the AI platform, with opportunities across ML systems, cloud infrastructure, MLOps, and applied AI.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, developing, and deploying production-grade ML and AI systems
- Supporting computer vision and foundation model workflows for specialised imaging applications
- Optimising model performance, scalability, monitoring, and reproducibility in the cloud
- Contributing to MLOps practices — model versioning, CI/CD, testing, observability
- Translating scientific and commercial requirements into technical solutions
- Evaluating emerging AI/ML technologies relevant to the sector
- Supporting technical presentations and customer discussions where required
- Contributing to engineering best practices and technical mentorship
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ ML engineering experience
- Strong Python, Machine Learning, AI, and statistical foundations
- Experience deploying ML systems in production
- Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and containerisation
- MLOps familiarity — deployment, monitoring, experiment tracking, CI/CD
- Strong software engineering, APIs, and scalable system design understanding
- Excellent communication — comfortable presenting to technical and C-suite audiences
- Right to work in the UK or Ireland
