We're looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a leading AI company in Belfast, to help design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions. You'll work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and scientific/technical stakeholders — productionising advanced analytics across large, complex, multimodal datasets. Reporting to a senior technical leader, you'll play a key role in advancing the AI platform, with opportunities across ML systems, cloud infrastructure, MLOps, and applied AI.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying production-grade ML and AI systems
  • Supporting computer vision and foundation model workflows for specialised imaging applications
  • Optimising model performance, scalability, monitoring, and reproducibility in the cloud
  • Contributing to MLOps practices — model versioning, CI/CD, testing, observability
  • Translating scientific and commercial requirements into technical solutions
  • Evaluating emerging AI/ML technologies relevant to the sector
  • Supporting technical presentations and customer discussions where required
  • Contributing to engineering best practices and technical mentorship

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ ML engineering experience
  • Strong Python, Machine Learning, AI, and statistical foundations
  • Experience deploying ML systems in production
  • Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and containerisation
  • MLOps familiarity — deployment, monitoring, experiment tracking, CI/CD
  • Strong software engineering, APIs, and scalable system design understanding
  • Excellent communication — comfortable presenting to technical and C-suite audiences
  • Right to work in the UK or Ireland
