We're a large professional services firm with offices across Europe, Asia, and the US, and we're looking for an experienced IT Cloud & Platform Network Engineer to join our Belfast-based IT Infrastructure team. You’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure — primarily on Azure — working closely with developers, product owners, and data engineers in an agile environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and maintaining network infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments
- Designing and deploying Azure‑based cloud architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, and security
- Owning vulnerability management — identifying, remediating, and patching in line with policy
- Ensuring robust BCDR protection and configuration backups across all systems and services
- Providing advanced technical support and liaising with vendors and external partners
- Proactive monitoring of all systems and services
What we’re looking for:
- Strong hands‑on Azure experience, with knowledge of AWS and cloud security best practices (CIS, ISO27001)
- Background in Infrastructure, Network Administration, or DevOps
- Experience with dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), SD‑WAN, and Zero Trust networking
- Proven vulnerability management experience
- ITIL foundation (or equivalent knowledge)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure
- Willingness to travel to other offices occasionally and work weekends when required
Nice to have:
- Azure AKS, Azure Functions, Terraform, F5 load balancing, or Microsoft Dynamics AX experience.
