We are a fully private dental practice specialising in cosmetic treatments such as Invisalign, composite bonding, facial aesthetics, and Hydrafacial treatments. Located in a prime spot in Hornchurch, just off the High Street, our practice combines convenience with a welcoming, professional environment.

We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and enthusiastic Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This dual role combines front-of-house reception duties with clinical nursing responsibilities, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety and working closely with both patients and clinicians.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients while supporting the clinical team in delivering high-quality dental care and aesthetic treatments, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing an outstanding patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression
- Check patients in and out efficiently; manage patient flow
- Handle appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling
- Answer incoming calls professionally and direct queries appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required
- Handle payments and basic financial administration
- Complete administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Keep the reception area tidy, welcoming, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Support the team with additional admin tasks as needed
- Provide chairside assistance during dental and facial aesthetic procedures
- Prepare, clean, and sterilise instruments and treatment rooms
- Follow strict cross-infection control and clinical hygiene protocols
- Support patient care by reassuring and explaining procedures where appropriate
- Assist with stock control and preparation of clinical materials
- Maintain accurate clinical records and nursing documentation
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly trackers
- Support lead nurses with compliance tasks, audits, and documentation
- Assist with maintaining training records, policies, and clinical governance requirements
- Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification and registration (GDC preferred)
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role in healthcare or dental practice is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with practice management systems, scheduling software, and office applications
- High level of professionalism and patient care awareness
- Ability to multitask and switch confidently between reception and nursing duties
- Team player with a positive, flexible attitude
Location: Hornchurch RM12 (reliable commute or relocation preferred)
