About this role
We're looking for a hands-on QA who takes pride in high standards and enjoys being visible on the shop floor. At Vittles, quality is about more than paperwork. This is an excellent opportunity to join a food manufacturing business where you'll work closely with Production, Hygiene and Technical teams, gaining broad exposure across the operation while playing a key role in maintaining the standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine food safety, quality and compliance checks across site.
- Escalate food safety, quality or compliance concerns promptly.
- Support investigations relating to non-conforming product.
- Complete product weight, coding and date label verification checks.
- Conduct packaging integrity and seal checks.
- Carry out temperature monitoring and metal detector verification checks.
- Complete product quality assessments, including appearance, texture and consistency.
- Support start-up, changeover and line clearance activities.
- Monitor and record CCP checks accurately.
- Complete allergen, ingredient and specification verification checks.
- Conduct GMP, hygiene, glass and hard plastic inspections.
- Verify documentation and records are completed accurately and in real time.
- Support audit readiness and overall factory standards.
- Work closely with Production and Hygiene teams to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.

About you
- Minimum 2 years' experience in food manufacturing or a QA role.
- Food Safety Level 2 (essential).
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Confident communicating with colleagues at all levels.
- Positive, proactive and willing to challenge standards appropriately.
- Experience within chilled or high-care manufacturing desirable.
- Understanding of GMP and BRCGS standards desirable.
